There are so many dialects in other languages also. For example, Consider English - British English, American English, Australian, Welsh, Scottish, etc. but everybody call it as ENGLISH only. There were efforts made in the early 20th century to create a standard form of English. Now, we predominantly see two such standard forms - British English and American English but both are English only.

Language is important for History and Culture and I agree with Deshapathi Srinivas. When some talks about Godavari they think of East and West Godavari. But in Telangana Godavari flows about 600 Kms.

Understand the rich heritage of Telugu literature which dates back to 11th century AD and then make a comment. I am not here to discuss about Telangana or Andhra but about Telugu which is our common language and which is spread across other states and countries as well.
I really appreciated Mr. Deshapathi's reference to so many good linguists in his speech and I really like to see that come out and I will DEFINITELY READ THAT! dont know y andhra ppl are getting hurt. what deshapathi said is truth. it is not poison. it is medicine. medicine for the betterment of telugu language. If telugu has to survive & prosper we have to appreciate the words spoken in all regions. afterall telangana telugu has much ancient and root words. not only future telangana state even in andhra we hav to use tg seema tamilnadu telugu ppls words. kudos to telangana movement which helped us realise this.
