    it is disheartening to notice that telugu speaking people resort to mix up various other languages while speaking telugu.
    it is our mother tongue and we should feel proud of it.

    It is really very ggod learning telugu in the foreign university. but in india from the north they dont know the telugu. it will not be useful much except southern part of india. Learning Hindi is Useful than Telugu.

    ny how iam apriciating the foreigners to learning the Indian languages.

    Some people have commented that they should learn hindi instead of Telugu.
    This is not a class where people should outweigh the uses.
    Similar mistake was made and hindi was made the national language just cause it was widely used forgetting that Indian union was formed from multi cultural provinces and the post-independence govt had the responsibility of preserving and upholding each of these equally.
    Any language is important and the nativity should not be undermined.

    This should be seen as a literature class of one of the more ancient language the world has even known and should be appreciated.

    People who cannot appreciate literature and respect once another native mother tongue would be better by keeping quite than saying with a half baked knowledge.

    @8.17..excellent argument.
    Besides, our indian languages are inextricably linked with Hinduism. All major linguistic works in Telugu are based on sacred scriptures. Undermining the usage of Telugu started only during this current Congress regime. More so under the auspices of YSR (for reasons better left to the readers discretion). This is a good development and would be useful to the second generation American Telugus. We telugus in andhra should open our eyes atleast now lest the state itself is named after Rajiv or Sonia Gandhi. Intha chesi telugu lo rayaledu ani anavaddu...font problem anthey.
