Indian cricket is a private enterprise. BCCI is not a government entity. It is like a company, similar to Pepsi or Coke. Given these facts what I don't understand is why people relate cricket to country.
In a private enterprise if you buy a product, sales increases, owner makes money. Now if you get emotional and watch these cricket games BCCI (private entity) will be getting money. Most people don't realize this simple fact and feel BCCI = Indian cricket. You can form your own group and start playing cricket with your own rules.
I am not against or for cricket. I am just putting out the facts so that people behave more rationally. Winning and loosing is a pure random thing
Congrats Team India. Gambir nd dhoni.. u guys are rocking. I was totally in tears when sachin was out. I thought we may loose it after the fall of two wickets. But Gambir... hats offf. Love u!!!!!!!!! Dhoni too took a good decision by coming in instead of yuvraj. When prayers go up, blessings come down.
@5;21,i agree with u, country does not have proper facilities,not even good defense weapons,becoz money is being spent on stupid things like this,look at the tax exemptions being given,becoz the money goes in to sharad pawar s accounts,who plays a key role in indian cricket,but where does the money come from it is from the tax payers pocket,some of them who cant even make their ends meet,iam not against but people should realise that cricket is not in any way helping countrys development,same thing happened sania mirza,was alloted crores of land ultimately happened,she married a pakistani and left the country,so people should stop treating cricketers as demi gods,its just an entertainmentand tax payers money should not be wasted in alloting them lands ,like they r doing now.
what u said is right.they are here to entaine us. as we r getting good entertainment we are admiring like we do with film actors. but these goverment excemptions and all are bullshit.they are getting paid for what they need to do. why these extra benefits.i truly disagree with such stupid stuff.
