In my opinion, this might be another trick that Congress and TRS are playing. Now, due to this non-merger, Telangana people have two sentiments, TRS and Congress. TRS led the Telangana separation and Congress helped the formation of Telangana. If TRS and Congress were merged together, then there will be only one sentiment, Congress. In the constituencies where Congress has a strong presence, it will naturally win those seats. Similarly, TRS will win in those areas where TRS is the only sentiment. This way both parties have increased the probability of winning the maximum number of seats in elections leaving no room for other parties. Once the elections are over, there is a high probability that both Congress and TRS will form a joint government and depending on how many seats each party wins, that corresponding party person will be made CM.

Politics is comparable to acting. Acting is ‘make believe’ activity. Politics is also ‘make believe’ effort. We can take out with rigorous effort oil out of sand. It is next to impracticable to make a politician speak truth.
