When you dream, just like how you take the real characters in life and build a story with it, Similarly when Arya narrates a story to the hero, he picks characters he met during the course and visually imagines the story..For example, he imagines his Ancestor (Kelu) as himself and his own best friend (Prabhu Deva)as the Kelu's best friend character . The wise teacher (Vidhya Balan) as Oracle and beautiful girl he met ( Nithya menon) as the princess Bala..etc

Though it's a fictional movie based on historic events, the movie is just beautifully made by our brilliant cinematographer Santosh Sivan.
