while I understand that this challenge has helped raise a lot of money and awareness towards ALS, it seems so stupid to waste a bucket of water per person. If you want to do a good deed, then do it. You dont have to wait until someone "nominates" you. and 90% of the people are doing the bucket challenge to avoid having to donate to the ALS organization. A lot of third world countries are facing problems with a lack of good clean water and here we are wasting the privileged we have.
1. There is a difference in doing ice bucket challenge at 4C and 40C, what a collasal vaste of water.
2. In India and Bangladesh, more people die to lack of simple oral rehydration for diahrrea. Please work for it (100$ could save 100 people) rather try to copy Western things whether they are relevant to us or not.
