However great it might be, at the end of the day its not fun to dance Kuchipudi! That´s one of the reasons of its demise. It took an elitist art form which only some can do and others much watch and enjoy. Secondly, the music that is followed is strictly religious. Shobana is trying something different but that is still a formal manner. Third reason: its mechanical.
History shows that all the art forms related to religion, elitism, and mechanical rules have just died down or are on their way to demise. Only those art forms that common man can connect to remain.

A commendable effort in support of our native art forms. More such events should be organized all over India to encourage the learning of such classical art forms.

Great program. I was there to see my elder sister off. It was a feast to eyes. Many such programs should be organised to increase the awareness on our classical dances.
