Again misinterpreted decision. They did not arrest because he criticised the Govt., but because he insulted our national symbols. Remember in our school we were made to remember what our national symbols are...why? because to know to respect them.
Just because some bearded commi wanted to incite anger in people, and he had ran out of creative ideas and used his pervert mind on national symbols, does not mean media is targeted.
Look at one of the pictures of mother India he drew. Why should there be a flag and a monster about to rape her? Why not anything else?
Such people smoke pot all day, drink, bad mouth the country they live in in front of foreigners to get some boob, and draw such cartoons.
If anyone can insult our national symbols, then why the hell should we have them? Fuck them all then if the media would be happy. Indian media is specially against any national or patriotic feelings. They want to see us lick dust of western civilization because they, in their nationless hearts, themselves feel like orphans. They are in a dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka situation.
George Orwell, said that nationalism is the worst enemy of a country's development. Nationalism is a feeling that one’s country is superior to another in all respects, while patriotism is a feeling of admiration for a country but also an understanding of its negative aspects.
Most in our country are nationalists, for whom just the symbols mean more than the entity they represent.
The same ppl who are getting so aggressive over the cartoons, do not even bat an eye-lash when they hear how politicians are raping this country. This cartoonist merely gave us a visual picture of the words. What this cartoonist did is express his freedom of speech. If we call our selves a democratic country, then lets behave like one or else lets call ourselves the Taliban.
The question here is not if he did right or wrong, because its his opinion and we cannot say his opinion is wrong. Its his right. But the discussion should be how can the judge ask the police to inquire.
Do any one you guys know that the particular law used to arrest him was created during the british raj where ppl were punished if they said anything against the govt. Well, are we still in that era?
@12.51: Ban against Gay and Lesbianism is also a law created during the British Raj. Would you also use the same arguments as above to support it?
BTW before you quote George Orwell, remember that he was the biggest supporter of Big Brother government and illuminati control of society. The biggest hindrance to both is nationalism and hence he wrote against it. Konchem background telusuko chicha! Dialogue bagundi kada ani evadini padite vaadini support cheyyaraadu bidda.

I don't feel he has done anything wrong.
Isn't parliament full of corrupted politicians, so he compared with wolves.
If you really love India, try to understand reality. I don't think reality isn't different my what he had drawn.
